Koenigsegg CCR The Fastest Production Car
Back in 2005, the Swedish muscle machine, the Koenigsegg CCR, was the world’s fastest production automobile hitting a top speed of 241 miles per hour. The acceleration of this roadster propelled through zero-to-sixty in an astounding 3.2 seconds. The Koenigsegg features magnesium alloy wheels, 19″ fronts and 20″ rears. This gorgeous aerodynamic automobile only sits off the ground with 3.9 inches of clearance.

The V8 4.7 liter engine with a 6 speed manual transmission car sadly is no longer in production. At the time of manufacturing the CCR was estimated at a base price of around $600,000 dollars. Of cars currently on the road today the Koenigsegg CCR has third place honors behind the Bugatti Veyron, which hit a test speed of a whopping 253 MPH shortly after the CCR took the crown for the fastest speed for a production model car.
