September Security Update For Windows 7 RC

Published by techspotlight at 12:05 am under Windows Updates Edit This

The Windows 7 Release Candidate (RC) Operating System has been extremely stable and safe so far.  The final version is slated to hit retail shelves in a little more than a month, and Microsoft has been doing very well in terms of security with all the Beta releases of Windows 7.

The continual monthly update cycle of Microsoft’s OS’es gives us only one security vulnerability this month for the RC version of Windows 7.  A security issue has been found that could allow an unauthenticated remote attacker to compromise the system and gain control over it.  Microsoft issued the patch for this severe threat yesterday morning.  So if you are running Windows 7 RC, navigate to Windows Update and download the fix and apply it.
