Playing at select theaters in Los Angeles and New York this weekend is Soul Power which is a documentary that has a lot of archive footage including famous stars like Muhammad Ali, James Brown, Celia Cruz, B.B. King and Don King.

Soul Power is about the legendary soul music concert staged in Kinshasa, Zaire in 1974, which was staged to compliment the “Rumble In The Jungle”, the rematch between boxers Muhammad Ali and George Foreman.  This is a nice collection of history for those who have never heard of it.  The movie is Rated PG-13 for strong language and thematic elements.  The approximate film length of Soul Power is 1 hour and 30 minutes.
