Windows Vista Service Pack 2 Has Been Released

Published by techspotlight at 12:05 am under Windows Vista Edit This

Service Pack 2 (SP2) for Windows Vista Operating System has been publicly released to consumers.  This huge download supports new kinds of hardware and emerging hardware standards, and also includes all updates delivered since SP1.  This update requires that you have SP1 installed first.

SP2 is quite hefty in size of 348 MB for the 32-bit version and 577 MB for the 64-bit version.  Having the Service Packs is always a nice thing especially when re-installing Windows.  It allows your system to be up and running quickly without the need to download the 100’s of patches and fixes via the Windows Updates client.
