Cheap 5.1 Sound Card
These days internal sound boards are not a hot topic as they use to be in the past. Most motherboard sound chips are more than adequate for the common computer user. If you want a little more processing power for sound encoding and decoding, it is a good idea to get a sound card that will perform better, and more than likely will sound better than the on-board sound chips.
Internal sound cards are very cheap these days especially this one from Diamond, which features 5.1 Dolby Digital sound output at 16-bit quality. The model number is XS51 and can be purchased dirt cheap at only $19.99 through Amazon.
