Microsoft Windows And Apple Macintosh Statistics
We just hit a third of the way through the year of 2009 and the Operating System market share tallies are in. Despite the downwards spiraling of the economy around the world, Apple continues to see gains month after month of people adopting their computers. Although the percentage is very small, Apple still manages to pull off this impressive feat.
Microsoft’s new OS named Windows 7 is hoping to gain back the momentum this dominant force once had. People are really impressed with Windows 7 and hopefully it will get released some time this summer before the Back to School extravaganza. Until then, Apple will continually chip into the market shares of desktop computers.
Please be aware that these percentages are based on consumers and businesses, not including servers. The actual figures and data are provided by Global Market Share Statistics and their website can be viewed here.
