The Definition Of Organic Traffic

Published by techspotlight under Terminology Edit This

With so much emphasis put on SEO (Search Engine Optimization), you need to understand organic traffic and what it means.  New websites on the Internet need to drive visitors to their site to become more popular and attract more people to their website.  There are many different ways to increase your visitor and page views, but the most important is to get organic traffic.

Organic traffic simply stated is web traffic which comes from unpaid listings, such as search engines and directories.  Organic traffic can be generated or increased by getting your website listed on search engines (mainly Google and Yahoo!), directories and award sites.  Organic traffic is the most important way to get visitors to your website.

Search engines rely heavily on displaying higher search results for websites that have many inbound and outbound links, so get your website listed on as many popular sites as you can, and you will see a rise of organic traffic to your web pages, and in return this could lead to a higher PageRank.
