6.1 Surround Sound Computer Speakers

Published by techspotlight under Hardware Edit This

6.1 surround sound speakers are not as widely known as a 5.1 speaker configuration.  The extra speaker is dedicated to voice from the rear, just like the center channel.  Most newer integrated sound chips on the motherboard support 6.1 speakers and definitely PCI expansion cards from Creative will support this uncommon setup.

The Logitech X620 computer speakers are a good fit for this format, offering 6 small satellite speakers with a heart-pounding 8″ inch subwoofer.  These speakers can pump out 140 total watts maximum and 70 watts of continual amplitude.  The X620’s have a headphone jack for private listening and a 4.1, 5.1 or 6.1 selectable switch to accommodate all speaker setups.  For more details on the Logitech X-620 surround sound speakers follow this link.
