Amazon Kindle 2 Is Coming In A Few Weeks

Published by techspotlight under Hardware Edit This

Amazon has just recently announced that their next generation E-Book Reader, the Kindle 2, will be released on February 24th at a hefty price point of $359 dollars.  This wireless electronic reading device has improved a lot according to Amazon with a slimmer and sleeker design of just over 1/3 of an inch thick, which is about the equivalent of a magazine.  A new ergonomic design that makes it easier to hold and different button placement to stop the accidental page turns that hampered the original Kindle.  A new 5 way controller for much easier navigation.  The first generation Kindle was fantastic on battery life and the new one even improves on that giving you an increased 25% boost allowing the Kindle to go without a charge for up to 2 weeks.  Page turns are estimated at 20% faster with the Kindle 2 along with an improved newspaper reading experience.

The only thing that looks like the consumer might be disappointed with is that the Kindle 2 has no flash card ability.  This was a handy feature for bringing books and music onto the device that gave the users more storage capacity.  To learn more about the Kindle 2 or to pre-order the device simply follow this link.
