As a horror movie fan, the Friday The 13th series of films is one of the best all-time long running continuation of movies released in this genre.  It does look like the series has run its course, as they are releasing a remake this coming week, just like they did for the Halloween series.  The tagline for this movie is “Welcome to Crystal Lake” and starring as Jason Voorhees is Derek Mears, who has played in many episodes of TV shows like CSI and My Name Is Earl, but also has some accredited work in a few movies like Cursed and The Hills Have Eyes 2.

A brief summary for Friday The 13th 2009 is a group of young adults discover a boarded up Camp Crystal Lake, where they soon encounter a crazed mask-wearing lunatic that has deadly intentions for everyone he sees.  The movie was filmed in its entirety in Texas, including the 3 cities of Austin, Bastrop and La Grange.  The movie is Rated R for bloody violence, drug use, language and some sexual content.
