The New Electronic Cigarette Revolution

Electronic cigarettes also known as ecig, e-cig and electric cigarette appeared on the scene and gained traction at CES (Consumer Electronics Show) in Las Vegas in 2008 and it was even a bigger splash this year in 2009. An electronic cigarette is a device that emulates a regular tobacco cigarette.The e-cig usually has 4 parts to it, but over the last year we have seen a variety of devices come to market that operate with either 2, 3 or 4 parts. The basic components are a lithium ion battery which powers the device and can be recharged up to an estimated 300 times. An atomizer, the part that heats up the juice and produces vapor, emulating real smoke. A cartridge which holds a cotton-type filament and the nicotine flavored juice you inhale. A tip, filter or inhaler which is the part you put your mouth on to draw in on the e-cig.
The electronic cigarette comes in many different sizes, styles and colors. Some look exactly like a regular cigarette and some do not. It is basically a personal preference to the consumer which style they like, although the longer style e-cigs are more convenient as they hold more juice and provide a longer battery life, which means less changing of the cartridges and batteries.
What makes the electronic cigarette nice is that it doesn’t contain many toxic, unhealthy and harmful ingredients like tobacco, tar, carbon monoxide, ammonia, butane, sodium chloride plus 100’s more. Put in simpler terms, an electronic cigarette is basically a healthier way to smoke.
Since this is still a young technology I am sure we will see many more of these devices hit the market. Already Costco sells a few different models in their stores and Target has one that they sell on their online retail shop. Another company has kiosks in many malls, truck stops usually carry them and some smaller stores in your local area might also be selling them.
In the coming weeks and months I will describe many features and accessories that are available in much greater detail with some indepth reviews on specific models and how they perform. I’m not an advocate for smoking, but I’d sure rather our kids thought smoking an e-cig was cool rather than smoking a real one. Hopefully, it would be an easier habit to dump later on as well.
Will this be a way to QUIT smoking or a way for little kids to PRACTICE? I guess there are Pros and Cons to every new product idea.
What do you mean a way for little kids to practice…these are not marketed for little kids….just like cigarettes, alcohol, porn arent either but just like all of those they will make there way into kids hands….whos fault? Take a sharp look at parents before you judge companies for making a product that aims to help people rid a Death Sentence from tobbaco! I started the e-cig back in october and i have probably had roughly a pack of real cigarettes since then. I am not suggesting that nicotine is harmless but in small doses nicotine is not that harmful. There are alot of places to research and learn about this new product and how helpful it can be. e-cigarette-forum.com is a great place to start….so before blank judgements are passed….act like you know and read a little!
OK I have Several of These models, They have helped me kick my 3 pack a day for 20 year habit. Thats Great! I have been using these for 3 months & have spent over $1500.00 on them!
The Bad:
These e-cigarettes are made like crap, very cheap, break easiliy, poor materials, expensive to replace, the Atomizers may only last 2 weeks (thats average) at @ $20.00 a pop.
So it gets expensive & irritating that these are top dollar and designed to work a week or two!!!
The idea is Great, so the greedy manufacturers are aware of it and take full advantage of it!
I have been using the e-cigarette for 3 weeks now, and my atomizer is working just fine. The first week I started was a little bad because I really didnt know how to use it. I wasted alot of filters and kept having to recharge the battery, I guess I was trying to smoke it like a real cigarette, which of course it isn’t, but, after the first week, I got used to it and now the battery lasts all day and I bought e-juice instead of filters, I refill the filters that I have, makes it alot cheaper. I bought the e-juice online 30ml bottle for 20 dollars, I just got that in the mail 2 days ago, so I dont know yet how long its going to last. I use 2-3 drops when needed, and as far as the people making comments about kids getting a hold of this, of course you wouldnt leave real cigarettes laying around, you also wouldnt leave the e-cigarette laying around. I have 4 kids, and I tell ya, If they did get a hold of a cigarette….I would rather have them get a hold of the e-cigarette than a regular cancer causing cigarette… with that…I love my e-cigarette…great job…..
I had smoked almost 2 packs a day for the last 34 yrs years and now because of the E cig I am an X smoker!
If you smoke and want to either have an alternative to inhaling 4000 chemicals which is what you inhale smoking a tobacco cigarette, or you want to completely quit smoking all together, PLEASE give this product a try. It works, it worked for me! It has also worked for several other people in my family!
When I bought the E cig on April 14th, I had NO intentions of quitting smoking. I love to smoke but just had to try this new electronic thing called the E cig. That was the last time I smoked a real cigarette to my surprise!
I started with the High cartridges, then went to mediums,,,and then to low. This took about 5 to six weeks maybe less. After my first puff i knew quitting on this would be easy , and it was! The electronic cigarette takes care of the ENTIRE addiction that comes with \”smoking\” NOT just the nicotine addiction which is the only element the other quit aids address. In my opinion, thats why it works. I have tryed all the other quit aid products such as the patch and the gum which never worked for me. I wanted to try Chantix but chose not to when my sister almost went off the deep end using it. That was enought for me! I wanted NO part of that!! I have tryed many times over the years to quit and NOTHING worked until NOW.
I have been off nicotine now for about 3 weeks now and like i said , my last cigarette was April 14th. Today I use the E cig only when i want to! I still love to smoke (vape) but at least now i know im not inhaling all them chemicals and i have NO nicotine in my ZERO E cartridges! Today i dont use the E cig often but when i want to… i can!! I believe this is maybe why it works as an aid to quit smoking.
I pray the FDA gets over trying to rid us of the E cig. No taxes or money to be made off this one!! Shame on you FDA to even try to take this away from us!
Quitting smoking on the e cig was extremely easy for some reason. No cravings, no nothing. Even today being around people who smoke dont give me a craving. This was extremely easy and i think im just in awe trying to figure out why. LOL
I recommend a pen style if you buy one. The battery and the cartridges last longer then the little ones. The pen style does NOT look like a cigarette which is a good thing when you want to vape in a restaurant, store, ect as your quitting. Also using the pen style you are braking the habit of holding that cigaratte which is another good step.

All I know is I am a NON smoker because of this product and i can jump up and down telling people about it!! I feel great! I can breathe! My lungs feel great! I dont smell like an ashtray anymore! My taste and smell came back!! Give it a try imo YOU wont be sorry!!
