During CES (Consumer Electronics Show) Microsoft announced that the Public Beta Version to Windows 7 is now available for anyone who wants to try their next Operating System. Microsoft has yet to annouce the timetable for when Windows 7 will be complete, but it is widely talked about, that it should be in stores sometime in the Summer of this year, but it could come as late as the beginning quarter of 2010.
To download Windows 7 Beta, visit Microsoft’s website or you can get there by clicking on this link here. Windows 7 Beta comes in two flavors, 32 bit (x86) and 64 bit (x64). The minimum hardware requirements for Windows 7 are 1 GHz processor, 1 GB RAM (Memory), 16 GB hard drive space, DVD Rom drive and a Video Card that supports DirectX 9 with 128 MB video memory.

I think I’ll wait until the full version comes out! It looks to be a lot better on the system requirement front. I had heard that it is a stripped down version of vista, is this true?
No it is not true, It is more like a souped up and debugged version of VISTA*cough*crap*cough* it requires much less system resources and alot more improvements. Windows 7 is a good candidate for my next OS next to Mac OSX I am still on XP.
XP supremacy.
I installed it on my spare system its looking good.
I installed Windows 7 Beta 7000 on my PC which is 2.6GHz Dual Core processor, 1.5GB Ram, 512MB Nvidia GeForce 8600 GT, 160GB HDD…and it is working fine and it is somewhat complex than XP bcause it don’t have any taskbar tabs…we must navigate through the thumbnails….and windows xp supports any 3rd party softwares…but windows vista as well windows 7 don’t support 3rd party softwares….It is the main drawback….
