PCI USB Expansion Cards

Published by techspotlight at 12:05 am under Hardware Edit This

Adding extra USB ports to a computer has become a very easy thing to do.  If you have used up all of your USB ports that came with your computer, you may be in the market for a simple upgrade with a PCI USB Expansion Card.  You can also get an external USB Hub to add more ports if you don’t want to open up your computer and install a PCI Card, but I always prefer the Cards over the Hub, as it makes for less clutter and wires strewn across the desk.

PCI USB Cards come in a variety of configurations from adding 2 extra USB ports to 5 ports on a single PCI Card.  What is nice about these Cards is there are no extra drivers that need to be installed, Windows takes care of it.  It’s a simple plug-n-play operation that will get you up and running with more USB ports very easily.  They’re cheap also, most PCI USB Cards run from $7 - $15 depending on the brand and the amount of ports.  To see a wide range of PCI USB Expansion Cards click this link here.
