Quick Tip For Vista Users To Always Show Menus

Windows Vista introduced a new explorer windows user interface that is simpler and more concise than its predecessors.  From Windows XP and below there were always menus shown that had drop down options from the File, Edit, View, Tools and Help toolbar.  Windows Vista has changed this and the Menu Bar is now off or hidden by default.

To configure the explorer windows and have the Menu Bar always shown, follow the simple steps below.

  1. Open and Windows Explorer folder.
  2. Click “Organize” and highlight “Layout.”
  3. Select “Menu Bar.”

All explorer windows will now have the Menu Bar shown for easy access to advanced features.
