Resizing The Windows Task Bar

Published by techspotlight at 12:05 am under Windows Vista Edit This

Resizing the Task Bar has been a common feature in Windows for many years.  It is an extremely simple thing to do and it is very customizable to make the Task Bar the size you want to accommodate the Quick Launch icons, Status Bar and System Tray.

If you were unaware that the Task Bar can be made larger then follow these simple steps to increase the size to the desired height.

  1. Right click on any open space on the Task Bar and ensure that the item “Lock the Taskbar” is unchecked.
  2. Place the mouse pointer on the outer edge of the Task Bar until the pointer turns into an up and down arrow.
  3. Hold down the left mouse button and drag the border to the desired height that you want the Task Bar.

Thanks for this great info. I have just moved from Mac to Windows due to my Ibook g4 dying on me so it is always good to learn new skills.
