Published by techspotlight at 12:05 am under Windows 7 Edit This

During the PDC (Professional Developers Conference) this week, Microsoft has released various screenshots of the upcoming Operating System named Windows 7.  Windows 7 is the predecessor to Windows Vista, and could possibly be released as early as the summer of 2009.

Windows 7 Milestone 3 was released to all attendees at the PDC.  Microsoft will be releasing the first Beta version sometime in December of this year.  Microsoft expects to release a total of 3 Beta versions and then finally RC (Release Candidate) versions before Windows 7 goes gold (finalized and shipped or RTM (Release To Manufacturing)).  Microsoft also claims that one of the Beta versions of Windows 7 will be available to the masses for downloading and trying it sometime in 2009.
