Move The Windows Task Bar To Any Screen Edge

Ever since the beginning of the Windows Operating System the Task Bar has resided at the bottom of the screen.  With Windows Vista you can move the Task Bar to any side of the screen, even to another monitor’s screen if you use more than one.  Moving the Task Bar can be done in two simple steps.

  1. Right click the Task Bar and ensure that the item “Lock the Taskbar” is unchecked.
  2. Point to a blank spot on the Task Bar and hold down the left mouse button while dragging it to the side of the Desktop you want it.

This simple tweak allows you to customize the look and feel of the Desktop to your own personal taste.
