5 Severe Windows Updates This Month

Published by techspotlight at 12:05 am under Windows Updates Edit This

Microsoft’s regularly scheduled updates for the Windows OS has many severe fixes and patches to stop vulnerabilities and attacks on PC systems.  The “Patch Tuesday” updates include ActiveX Killbits, Internet Explorer 6 and 7, and 3 other major fixes that address vulnerabilities where a Windows attacker could compromise your system and gain control of it.  Along with the 5 security patches are a cumulative update for Media Center and the normal Windows Software Removal Tool for October.

Microsoft Office 2007 users will have 2 additional security vulnerabilities with Excel 2007 and the complete Office System package.

I highly advise you as always to get the Windows Updates immediately when they become available.  This ensures that your computer will continually run at the most effective security level as provided by Microsoft.
