Zune Closes Services For 2 Days

Published by techspotlight at 12:05 am under Internet, Software Edit This

Microsoft is closing down the Zune Marketplace today and it might be unavailable for up to 48 hours.  This is quite a shock since the release of the Zune 3.0 software is quite new and will affect many people using their services.  Microsoft is stating that the Zune service will be down for scheduled maintenance.  It is unclear why this is going to take so long.  During the downtime, Zune Social, the forums on Zune.net, and all of Zune Marketplace will be offline.

Hopefully Microsoft is upgrading the Marketplace with fresh new features for the customers of the Zune to take advantage of.  In any event, users across the world will be out in the cold if they want to purchase music or use the Zune services for a few days, maybe sooner if Microsoft completes the maintenance ahead of schedule.
