Screen Resolutions Used Globally

Published by techspotlight at 12:05 am under Terminology Edit This

I thought this would be some interesting information about what resolution do computer users set their display properties to.  This is actually really handy information because it will help webmasters and bloggers design and implement themes that will look good no matter what the screen resolution is set to.  You don’t want to employ a wide layout that will make computer users have to navigate left and right.

The actual figures and data are provided by Global Market Share Statistics, and you can view their website here.  The figures represent data accumulated from computer users worldwide from January 1, 2008 to September 1, 2008.  The widescreen screen resolutions have drastically increased from previous years due to the price of widescreen LCD monitors dropping in price.
