Wired Verse Wireless Networking
When setting up multiple computers in your home you have 2 choices, either a wired or wireless network, or possibly even both. Wired and wireless connections allow you to transfer files and share accessories like printers across all of the computers in your house. Both choices have their favorable points and negatives, ultimately it’s up to you to decide.
Using a wired connection will give you much better performance and speed. The problem most people have is wiring long cables throughout the house from your router to all the computers. While this is a nuisance, most people elect to go wireless.
Wireless routers are extremely handy, by using software to make the connection, you can be anywhere within a certain range and have Internet access and networking capabilities. The signal will degrade the further you are away from the access point. This is a no-brainer for people who have laptops, as they can bring them home and simply be online in a matter of a few seconds.
A wireless signal is prone to security vulnerabilities without the proper setup of the router. Also the speeds you achieve will be much less, with possible signal drop-outs, then a wired connection. If streaming media is an important aspect, then the only choice is wired, even with the new Draft-N wireless specification, you will notice much better performance with a wire.
Basically it comes down to. wired is better but wireless is more convenient.

Yes, wired much better, i buy spools of the CAT6 cable.
:)
Wired is my only choice right now but thanks for the info.
