Amazon opens its website with this new feature that looks exciting and fresh.  Amazon will be directly competing with PayPal.  It is almost an identical service.  You can activate this new service through your current Amazon account, which there are millions of users registered with Amazon.  Now you can send and receive money through an email address or mobile phone.  In addition, developers or establishments that sell products and services can use Amazon Payments on there website.

As PayPal has had several problems and complaints over the years, I’m glad to see a powerhouse company like Amazon bring new life to this e-commerce style payment system.  Most people have already dealt with Amazon in the past, and they are a very trusted company.  If Amazon markets this well and provides a simple and easy service that users like, I could see this being a huge potential growth for the company.
