Trailer For “Death Race” Opens In Theaters In 2 Days
Death Race starring Jason Statham (Transporter, Crank) and Joan Allen (The Bourne Supremacy, The Notebook) premiers in theaters nationwide this coming Friday, August 22nd. The movie is Rated R for strong violence and language. The plot for Death Race is an ex-con is forced by the warden of a notorious prison to compete in our post-industrial world’s most popular sport, in which inmates must brutalize and kill one another on the road to victory in a car race. This movie brings back memories of The Running Man, in which Arnold Schwarzenegger was wrongly convicted and forced to play a game show, only he was trying to survive a public execution. Even though there were no cars used in The Running Man, Death Race seems like it borrows on the same idea.
